How do I work?
As an expat of 9 years, I have experienced the unique advantages and challenges of living and studying abroad. I therefore recognize the complex emotional landscape of living in a foreign country, including homesickness, culture shock and loneliness. I aim to provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore both the challenges related to their expat status, as well as any other issues they might be facing. My goal is to help clients develop practical coping strategies and cultivate a sense of a well-being, through an approach grounded in empathy and understanding.
There’s a good chance we can work together if…
- you’d like to receive psychological counseling in English, Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish;
- living abroad, cultural adjustment, or an international environment presents a challenge for you;
- you’d like to better understand yourself and deal with your current life situation more consciously;
- you’d like to work on life management issues or personal challenges in an accepting, safe atmosphere;
- partnership and collaborative thinking are important to you.
I’m probably not the best choice if…
- you are looking for psychological counseling in Hungarian;
- you need immediate psychiatric or crisis care;
- you are primarily seeking medication;
- you are looking for child, adolescent, couples, or family psychological services;
- you are seeking professional help for a problem that requires specialized institutional or medical care.
